The Emerald Ensemble presents two great works by masters of English choral music. From the Renaissance comes William Byrd's Mass for five voices, a rarely performed gem. Herbert Howells's unaccompanied Requiem is a soothing staple of twentieth-century choral repertoire. The concert is rounded out by two works by local composers, Karen P. Thomas and the Emerald Ensemble's own Artistic Director, Gary D. Cannon.
